How did the Heaven song come to be?
It was two in the morning and I couldn't sleep. I started hearing a tune in my head, and I played it on the piano. At the same time, I wanted to tell the story of Jesus, so I could share it with children in the classes I was teaching. God gave me the words and the music, so I was very excited! I couldn't wait to tell my husband about the Heaven song.
When I told Richard about the song the next day, he was very happy to find out that the Lord had given me these words and the music to go with them. We prayed about it, and told our friends about it.
A good friend named told me about her granddaughter Hannah who was graduating with an art degree. I emailed her and she said she was interested in illustrating the Heaven song.
The tune stayed in my head for a long time, and others say the same thing when they hear it.
Elias, another friend, told me about Wayne Peet who is an engineer who records music and is very talented. When I called him and sang the Heaven song to him on the phone he liked it and asked me for a cassette copy of the melody played on the piano and the vocal which I sang. Also, I sent him a copy of only the notes written on blank staff paper with no timing at all! He mentioned a friend named Val Peterson who could sing it there at his studio in Los Angeles. I asked him if I could come in and record it myself. He said, "It would take longer to teach you how to sing than to teach her the song!" (So much for my singing career!) I said, "OK, I'll send you the cassette and the simple sheet music as soon as possible." Soon he sent me the CD and the completed sheet music!
A friend told me about a publisher named Winepress and I contacted them and decided to start the publishing process. Wow, this is so exciting!!

¿Cómo me llegó la canción Heaven (El Cielo)?
Fue las dos de la mañana y no podía dormir. Por varios días estaba oyendo una música en mi cabeza y esta mañana me levanté temprano y lo toqué en el piano. Yo quería contar la historia de Jesucristo para enseñarla a los niños en las clases que estaba enseñando. Dios me dio las música y las palabras y me llené de emoción. No podía esperar para contarlo a mi esposo.
El día siguiente le conté a Ricardo que Dios me había dado las palabras y la música de la canción Heaven (El Cielo).Oramos pidiendo la dirección de Dios y les contamos a nuestros amigos. Una buena amiga llamada Lois me contó de su nieta Hannah que estaba graduandose con un título en arte. Yo la escribí en e-mail y ella me dijo que sí estaba interesada en ilustrar el libro Heaven (El Cielo).
La música de la canción quedaba en mi cabeza y otros también me dicen lo mismo cuando lo oyen.
Elias, otro amigo, me contó de su amigo Wayne Peet que sabe escribir y grabar canciones y tiene mucho talento. Cuando lo llamé me dijo que le gustaba y me pidió una grabación de la melodía y la canción cantada. También le mandé una copia de las notas escritas para escribir la música sin nada de detalle del tiempo! El me dijo de una amiga llamada Val Peterson que podía ir a su estudio y hacer un CD allí en Los Angeles. Yo le pregunté si yo podía ir allí y grabarlo yo misma y el me dijo, "Tomaría más tiempo enseñarle a cantar que enseñarle a ella la canción." ( Pues, allí fue mi carrera de vocalista!)
Yo le dije, "Está bien, yo le enviaré la grabación y las notas escritas lo más pronto posible. Pocos días despúes él me envió el CD y la música escrita!
Un amigo me contó de un publicador llamado Winepress y lo los llamé y decidí comenzar el proceso de publicar el libro Heaven. "Wow, que emoción!"

God is so good to supply so many people who have each had an important part in helping to make the Heaven song come together in such a fantastic way! The finishing touch was done by Christina who put it on Youtube and has been a tremendous help teaching me many things on the computer and on internet.
